Types of CPF Housing Grants for HDB Flats

On top of the subsidised purchase prices for new HDB flats, eligible buyers can also receive further subsidies in the form of CPF Housing Grants of up to $80,000. 

First-Timer Applicants

If you are applying for a flat as a first-timer household, you may be eligible for the following CPF Housing Grants:


  • Additional CPF Housing Grant (AHG)
  • Special CPF Housing Grant (SHG)

Second-Timer Applicants

The Step-Up CPF Housing Grant is available to eligible second-timers applying for a second subsidised HDB flat.

As a couple comprising a first-timer and second-timer (FT/ ST couple), you may be eligible for the following CPF Housing Grants:

  • Additional CPF Housing Grant (AHG) (Singles)
  • Special CPF Housing Grant (SHG) (Singles)

Single Singapore Citizen Scheme

As a first-timer single Singapore Citizen (SC) who is 35 years old or above, you may be eligible for the following CPF Housing Grants:


  • Additional CPF Housing Grant (AHG) (Singles)
  • Special CPF Housing Grant (SHG) (Singles)

VIEW GRANTS

Joint Singles Scheme or Orphans Scheme

The Additional CPF Housing Grant (AHG) (Singles) or Special CPF Housing Grant (SHG) (Singles) may be eligible for single Singapore Citizens (SCs) who are 35 years old or above and applying for:


  • A new 2-room Flexi flat in a non-mature estate under the Joint Singles Scheme
  • A flat (regardless of flat type) under the Orphans Scheme
